Lets see:

I'll explain the sequence (it is somewhat complicated, but that is what makes the story interesting).

1. Cattyshaq is investigating a ponzi scam called Reality Millions. Its Web Host is "Katz Global" (Gordon Hayes), who offers "Anonymous Hosting" TM.

2. Cattyshaq notices postings from RM fans that there is a new opportunity to purchase the "Phoenix Dollar" for a special price of $200.00 They quickly discover that the bullion price of the silver in this coin is worth $10 or so.

3. Gordon Hayes comes on line on the Cattyshaq forum to explain the virtues of the Phoenix Dollar as part of a new E-Currency. He quotes Scott Morgan as an authority on the topic.

4. Hayes confirms that he as owner of Katz Global is also owner of the Phoenix Dollar currency.

5. Hayes starts saber rattling, demanding that the entire thread be removed, or he will seek a court order to have it done.

6. While some cattyshaq posters edit their posts in fear, Brenda Bevil the board's owner decides to carry on, and defies the legal threat.

7. Cattyshaq posters start discovering strange things. They match Gordon Hayes to a defunct band calld Onadi. Searching through historical sites at archive.org. they see a switcheroo on the same guitar player has been made, converting "Gordon Hayes" to "Scott Morgan".

8. Posters also dig up other stuff, including historical references to Hayes being involved in a Porno site called pinwheelinc.com, with other similar stuff that is not suitable for children to see.

9. Suddenly, Onadi's website (hosted of course by Katz) is pulled down and archive.org references are disabled. Hayes sends a threatening letter to Cattyshaq's ISP. Having just restored service after a "Joe Job" spam attack, the ISP pulls the plug on Cattyshaq.

10. Cattyshaq finds a new host about 6 days later. Almost immediately, Ross Hosman of Freedomhost.net receives a threatening letter from Gordon Hayes asking the site be taken down. Another "Joe Job" spam attack is unleashed.

11. Now back in business, cattyshaq starts investigating every aspect of Hayes organization. They've found threads here, and done their own work. They've validated the porn links, the support of ponzis, and other questionable stuff. One cattyshaq poster finds the "real" address of Katz Global -- Hayes' home worth a bit more than $100,000. Nothing wrong with that, of ocurse, but if you look at his website you might expect the business to be somewhat larger!

For other ISP providers and hosts there is a wealth of information here. First, while the mainstream hosts probably would stay away from this matter -- who wants to pay the legal costs if action is engaged for a few hundred bucks in annual ISP fees, one can see there are hosts willing to defend free expression (Freedomhost.com) and other hosts willing to support and encourage scams (katzglobal.com). I actually don't see anything wrong with Katz hosting scam operations, if the business stays within the law, but equally, I don't see anything wrong with it being exposed for what it is. I'm sure this fight will get more and more interesting as the two sides duke it out.

To get a broader perspective, you can see some of Gordon Hayes' point of view in this thread:

http://www.talkgold.com/forum/r22468-.html

Cattyshaq, meanwhile, has set up a group of threads on the Katz Global investigation. The file is growing daily.

I hope Gordon Hayes will join in the discussion here as I'm sure he has his own point of view on the matters here."

sure would be interesting to see what companies use his hosting services!
