xcept for one thing ya'll dont know.
i was there in 1963.

my dad was on the cab stand (2-back in a cab) when lee harvey oswald left from the stand to go to oak cliff.

my friend warren reynolds was the man who saw the shooting of tippit. a few days later warren was shot in his office where i had been several times.

my baseball coach (captain pinkie westbrook) was the arresting officer of lee harvey oswald, at the theatre, in oak cliff and also carried oswalds gun back to headquarters in dallas.

one of my union stewards (jim gatten) was on the railroad track the day kennedy was shot. he also is same man that picked up kings killer and carried via taxi to a location, some time after the murder.

jim gatten also saw, ruby, tippit, and oswald at the rudy club on commerce, in dallas... some time before the shooting.

in 1977-78 i did undercover for EARL GOLTZ of the dallas morning news, as a go between to Don Vestal, who was Jimmie Hoffas right hand man, and in charge of the teamsters pension fund, for a while. Earl the reporter needed confirmation on his stories he ran for a year in dallas in 77-78. and i helped to supply that info.

my dad and don vestal were life long friends from childhood,
and don vestal trained me on the rigors of union affairs, and history.

yes the umbrella man, there on dealey plaza.

also, back in 1963, i started a file on all of the dallas news clippings of JFK about 2 weeks before he arrived in dallas.

ole tex has many umbrellas stories to tell about that day.
since i helped earl goltz in the CTs of NOV 22 1963.

earl moved to washington for a better job after the 70s
anyone wonder why?
