Roche Set To Offer Drug Discounts In Developing Countries: CEO - FT

Swiss drug giant Roche Holding AG (RHHBY) is set to start offering substantial discounts on its medicines in developing countries in the coming months, the Financial Times newspaper reported Sunday on its website, citing Roche's chief executive Severin Schwan.

Roche ran a pilot program in Brazil with a "really high, substantial double-digit discount" for its cancer drug Mabthera, and is expecting similar deals with other countries, the report quoted Schwan as saying.
