The 2nd is extremely dependent on the execution capabilities of the team, and the smartphone team has shown it has yet to do that. For the 3rd problem, there's one told by Gelsinger that there is 20-50% more power used on an x86 core compared to a RISC one. True, Intel has a superior process technology, and an SoC is far more than just a CPU core.

You or anyone else for that matter, have yet to show me any reason how a single core 1.8GHz Atom(albeit with SMT) can beat a 1.5GHz dual core out of order chip. Until Intel has a Medfield product out available for anyone to purchase, there isn't be a breakthrough reason to believe it has any advantage over ARM.
