Most folks who invest in stocks as long term buy and holds don't follow the ticks and volume minute-by-minute. That's why it's called LTBH. If the firm's fundamentals are strong, you set your target and relax ... just keeping the pulse of the fundamentals lest anything change in a major way.
Otherwise, you'll end up screwing yourself in the ground fretting about the trees rather than the forest.
