IEC Electronics Corporation Retains Institutional Marketing Services
Thursday June 5, 12:48 pm ET

NEWARK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IEC Electronics Corporation (OTCBB: IECE), a provider of electronic manufacturing services to advanced technology companies, announced that they have retained the services of Institutional Marketing Services (IMS), a full service investor relations firm.

W. Barry Gilbert, Chairman of the Board and CEO of IEC, stated, “Since 2004, we have diversified our customer base, enhanced our management team, realigned our existing facilities and upgraded our equipment with an eye towards maximizing our position as a niche player in the contract manufacturing industry. This strategy has resulted in strong revenue growth and profitability. Furthermore, we recently signed a letter of intent to make an accretive acquisition that should further broaden our customer base and manufacturing capabilities. While we still have a lot of work ahead of us, we feel that IEC is now at the point where it makes sense to implement a strategic investor relations program to raise IEC’s profile on Wall Street.”

John G. Nesbett, Founder and President of IMS, commented, “IEC has executed an exemplary turnaround over the past few years, successfully repositioning their business and creating a rapidly growing, profitable domestic EMS company fulfilling a need for high quality U.S.-based contract manufacturing. Of particular note are the prudent long-term investments they have made in their business using operating cash flow while also improving their balance sheet. IMS is very proud to partner with IEC to help them broaden their awareness among investors.”
