81.3% RE-PARTICIPATION FROM PSL 8 TO PSL9:

There were 80 contestants in PSL8 (less Mr. Sheep). 65 of them are in PSL8. That is a 81.3% re-participation rate!

We have 7 newcomers (Rookies) --- (BIGPROFIT, CANRIC, JANG-A-LANG, EDJOHNSON, IDD582, MANNY and TEOMAX). Let's give them a big welcome. This is the largest rookie class since PSL3.

Naturally one would wonder if the re-participation rate for PSL9 was correlated to where they finished in PSL8. There usually is a small correlation. This time is no different.

Shown below is the first group of 10 in the final PSL8 rankings and how many of them (10) are participating in PSL9, etc. Re-participation rates by groups of 10 are based on how each group finished in the previous PSL contest.

What is especially interesting is how the group that finished 31-40 in the previous constest is so ambivalent about next one when the groups above and below are far more likely to participate.
