I looked that the PR from Dec 11th its says the resident he is working with a bud tender who was a manager at a medical dispensary. Im assuming once available for distribution on Jan 2018 probably a Type 10 or 10A. There are 19 different types of licenseing. Ranging from Cultivation to Transportation and Retailing. The requirements all vary. But they simply require that the County/City in which you wish to set up shop in has given you the permit(those are the tough ones to get) and then you can purchase a state license that have specific requirements. Like you can grow XXX amounts of plants for a medium capacity grow license. Or you can only open up to 3 retail locations with a type 10A. The county and city requirements are the tough ones because CA allows statewide sale though they allow Counties and Cities to determine what the rules for their jurisdiction will be. With the passing of prop 64 there is not need for specifically a medical or recreational license. As many of the prescribed MJ pharmaceuticals have moved to oral instead of rudimentary inhaled product.
