Production problems at Pansonic / Tesla Gigafactory may be at an end.

" This process (for battery packs) will be automated, and then the number of vehicles to be produced will rise sharply", Tsuna (Panasonics CEO) told repoeters. Obviously, such a process needs to be automated for Tesla to realize its goal of producing 20,000nmodel 3s a month.

Note: The problem was in the assembly of all of the individual cells into a completed battery packs. This procedure was automated but the robots couldn't
keep up with the required production rate. While a solution to the robots has apparently been developed the battery packs had to be assembled by hand. I would bet that other EV battery pack manufacturers will go through the same problems when they try to achieve this level of production. The 2170 cells are also made into battery packs for stationary power for home and utility size applications.
