No one seems to want to repair them, so black Friday might be the best approach.

I had one of the LED backlight strips fail in my Samsung, so the top third of the picture was darker than the rest. It should have been an easy fix, but I couldn't find anyone who would do it.

I bought the same size Samsung (65) to replace it. The 5 year improvement in the technology was quite noticeable in clarity and resolution.
