Over-the-Counter Equities

An over-the-counter (OTC) equity issue is generally considered to be any equity issue that is not an NMS stock traded on a national issues exchange. The OTCBB and OTC Markets are both interdealer quotation services for OTC equity issues. FINRA operates the OTCBB and permits to be eligible for quotation on OTCBB any OTC equity issue that is current in certain required regulatory filings.
