I think I see where I might have gone wrong...

They are not affected by the calendar year because they report on a fiscal year basis.

I guess I'm still a bit concerned because of the gaps down the stock price is taking.

Even though I too am interested in a longer time horizon and expect great things...

I would still like to see some upward momentum in the stock price near term.

I guess I like to have my cake and eat it too... (Anyway, what's the point of even having cake if you do not eat it?)
