I think this is really hard to comprehend for the average human being. HERB owns 5 plantations since the asset swap. They generate $100M in cash every year.

Also, they had a history of paying every cent to parent as cash dividends before the asset swap. They can't do that anymore. Because we own 17% of the plantations now, and Parent only 83%.

So the company has a number of options.

1) Spend it, waste it, on god knows what stupid venture.
2) Continue to pay cash dividends, in which case we will get 17% or $0.65 cash dividend every year.
3) Buy out the minority shareholders and go private.

1) I don't know. Maybe. The stock still isn't worthless. They could get a listing in China. They could still pay cash dividends. They have to do some bloody thing.

2) That would be very welcome indeed. But I don't fink so....

3) The most plausible option. Get rid of the minority shareholders. How do I get cash for my shares? Keep an eye on your account. Appraised value is $2.3 billion.
