Price per share up $6.00 in pre-market! BABA beat Street estimates, big time!

Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.29 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.04 per share.

The online retailer posted revenue of $8.29 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $7.78 billion.
