I did a System Restore and the issue went away!

I also checked Programs and Features before and after doing the System Restore...

Seems there were a couple new programs/updates that were done that may have been causing the issue I described in the post this one replies to :
1) one update from Opera (I don't remember downloading this - maybe it's an automatic install?)
2) the other one was from my Trading software (I do remember taking/installing this one - These happen once a week or every two weeks so I normally accept them)

After the Restore, I have opened and closed my Opera browser several times but the Opera update has not yet shown up in Programs and Features.

I also opened my Trading software and the pop up for the new software update came up as expected but it would not download. So I continued without the update and the program is running normally.

So it seems that either download could have been what caused the issue. Not knowing which or why is a pain...
Will see how long before the next problem happens...
Technology is grand except when it isn't!
