This article last March in the Boston Globe by the former Dean of Harvard's medical school took Elysium's advisers to task for not reforming the supplement industry by insisting that Basis and any future products be shown to have efficacy before being marketed, even if not legally required, and instead allowing their Nobel credentials to be employed as a marketing tool. I disagree that nothing should be sold until famous scientists are satisfied with the benefits. However, I do think that there is no sign that Elysium's Nobel Prize winning advisors are doing the world any favors with whatever scientific advice they are giving to Elysium's business in exchange for their consulting fees.
