I did the same thing with the new frig we bought over labor day. Paid over $1300 after doing research and hearing horror stories about wishing they had gotten the warranty.

$200 for 5 years.

The new washing machines are a mystery to me. My neighbor has one and he showed me how it works. It does all sorts of weird things before it actually starts, like balancing and weighing the load. And god forbid you try and add some clothes once it locks you out.

I'm sticking with the old fashion ones, spin the dial and push start. I don't need a washing machine to order more soap for me.
