Willy - it is pretty clear that Amazon (online retailer - you probably have heard of them) could move into selling prescription drugs at some point if they wanted to. As BR suggests, that would be very disruptive.
I can't see Amazon making a diagnosis or writing an initial scrip. but they sure could handle a substantial amount of the fulfillment for prescriptions and refills. This would impact pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens and also drug distribution companies like McKesson. Not sure what the impact to drug pricing at the consumer level would be - prices could go down (as what would be happening is "cut out the middlemen") or Amazon and drug maker might just splint the existing profit pie differently than it is split now.
I don't always agree with BR (in fact I often don't) but in this case he is spot on.
If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
