It.means.the.case.will be.dismissed as a.formality. The appeals court instructs the district court on what to do with a case in their opinion. They have said the claims construction will not change the outcome of the case which is PTSC lost. Basically the judge will follow the appeals court judges opinion as they are his "bosses".
