Switched to ATT from Charter Cable for everything (TV,Internet and land-line Phone) about 4 months ago...bought their 2 year $89.99/month plan.

So far very satisfied - noticed no Internet speed difference (we got the lowest speed they offer). No issues with the phone service or TV either...
ATT installed fiber in my area about 6 months ago, which is used for the Internet and phone (fiber is used for the street to house connection too). Direct TV (satellite dish) provides the TV signal.

Charter Cable has since been very aggressive trying to get our business back - most recently offering to pay off ATT's contract in full but the monthly Charter bill would still be higher for just slightly different TV offerings.

So - in two years we'll see how much ATT's bill gets jacked - may have to do another switch at that time...

No inside the house wiring/cabling needed to be done...the phone and Internet uses the phone lines and the TV uses the coax. ATT provided and installed all the new modems and equipment as part of the deal.
