Id like for us to take a few minutes and to think real hard...how have we lived life this past month? Have we been faithful in reading our Bible and talking to Jesus on a regular basis? Have we been in church each time there was a service? Have we done things that have helped others and have we witnessed to folks about the saving grace of God? Have we let the light of Jesus shine from us each day in encouragement and in lifting folks up? Have we told and shown folks that we love them and have we forgiven everyone regardless of the reason they hurt us? You know..have we lived like the new creation we are suppose to be? Now the other side of the coin. Have we said things and done things that we know we shouldnt have...i mean like have we sinned pretty often or even way more than we like to remember? Is sin a part of our daily life because we think we cant help it or that somehow its really ok. Have we spent our days or at least often times complaining and moaning and groaning about this that and the other? Looking back...just what kind of a life have we lived the past month? What have we done that has brought honor and glory to God..and..what have we done that has caused God to shake His head in disbelief...which way is the scales tipping...towards the acting as a believer or acting like the world? Now lets think on this. If we were told today that we were going to die in one month..how might this next month differ from the past month? You know friends...we are guaranteed only this very moment in time. We dont always get a warning of death. Live each day as it were your last..live it for God and for others...live in the way that Jesus has commanded and the way that sets us apart as believers! Yes...live each moment as if we were about to step into eternity..we might very well be about to! Remember..there is no such thing as a part time christian and when we die...there are no do-overs..Think about it!
