It means that when their was so much buying pressure MMs filled orders without having the shares secured to do so. This is very common and necessary for the market to work. Normally they buy the shares immediately after or at least within the grace period which for MMs is 6 days. If you look at the past 6 days you'll see they haven't had much of an opportunity to cover without a loss.

So now they are under even more pressure to cover. They have been trying hard to shake shares but if they can't they will have to cover for a loss creating even more buying pressure. (A squeeze)

Also, I'm not 100% sure on this but I think if the ticker change hits all short positions will have to cover immediately.

Any kind of buying pressure will send the price up quickly. If longs hold strong and we continue to see the buying we have it's going to be a very fun week.

It will be a battle between MMs and longs.
