TV needs fluffy filler material. I've seen similar TV News pumps ... suspect the local TV crew's not too concerned about doing DD from an investor point of view...They just need something of interest to fill a few minutes.

If what you say is true, then the reporter invented the story. It wasn't a press release. Why would the reporter use a non-competing company CEO as a source for a story?

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
