Sharyland Utilities, L.P. ("Sharyland") •proposes to construct a single-circuit 138 kilovolt (kV)
electric transmission line in Reagan County, Texas. The proposed transmission line will
connect expanded facilities at the existing Stiles Substation to the proposed Coates Substation
in order to accommodate significant doad growth, allow Sharyland to more effectively serve
, existing customers,-and increase reliability of the electric system (the "Project"). 'The Project will
be approximately 7.1 to 13.4 miles long and will be constructed primarily on monopole
structures in a right-of-way approximately 100 feet wide. Depending on the route selected by
the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT"), the estimated cost for the Project ranges from
approximately $18,408,000 to $22,827,000. This proposal will be evaluated in PUCT Docket
No. 46726.
