Manafort Spox On Obama Admin. Surveillance: “It Is A Felony To Reveal The Existence Of A FISA Warrant”

For months, the media told us that Trump was insane to suggest that the Obama Admin. was spying on his campaign.

The media and almost every liberal on the left dismissed the idea as a conspiracy theory.

And then, low and behold, we learned this week that the Obama Admin. was listening to Paul Manafort’s calls before and after the election.

If the idea of a president listening in on the phone calls of a campaign or people close to a campaign vying for the presidency doesn’t bother you then you need to seriously reevaluate some things.

Today, Manafort’s spokesman pushed back and demanded some answers about the leaking of this new information.

Paul Manafort’s spokesman condemned recent reports that his client had been surveilled by federal officials while serving in the Trump campaign and after the 2016 presidential election as well.

“If true, it is a felony to reveal the existence of a FISA warrant, regardless of the fact that no charges ever emerged,” Jason Maloni said in an emailed statement on Tuesday.

“The U.S Department of Justice’s Inspector General should immediately conduct an investigation into these leaks and to examine the motivations behind a previous Administration’s effort to surveil a political opponent. Mr. Manafort requests that the Department of Justice release any intercepts involving him and any non-Americans so interested parties can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ — there is nothing there.”

100% correct.

Manafort might very well go down for some not so great financial moves that have nothing to do with Trump’s campaign or collusion. Mueller apparently told him to expect an indictment. Still hasn’t come yet though.

However, the left’s narrative that Trump’s campaign was never spied on has completely fallen apart.

Until we start getting answers on the scope of this spying, the timeline of the warrants, how the FBI obtained the phony Trump dossier that was likely used to renew a FISA warrant as well as other questions, it is reckless to sit there and say that Trump’s tweet had no validity.
