Murderers and gangsters have successful TV careers and get paid to promote all manner of goods and services. Maybe there's no reason (in 2017) to expect that just because some lying sack of crap has run a string of tequila companies into the ground, laughing all the way, that he shouldn't still enjoy the support of some hapless chumps and assorted felons. It could be that you and I just expect too much.
