Marley vs Guayaki

Below are some pix of the products and their nutritional info.

At first blush, Marley Yerba Mate has less sugar and less calories, and if I were a betting man, I'd say it has less Yerba (whatever that is). But overall, both are a pretty similar products, especially from a packaging and flavor lineup point-of-view.

Differentiators
In my opinion, Marley has a more mainstream taste. Like bucha live kombucha is to kombucha, I think Marley Yerba Mate is to Guayaki Yerba Mate. It's a better taste for the mainstream but hardcore Yerba Mate drinkers would probably strongly disagree.

To go with better taste, we also have the better brand. Guayaki has done well to create a market but in my biased opinion, Marley > Guayaki - just a much bigger name.

Overall

It's hard to take down a market leader, especially when you're second to market. I think our product has a puncher's chance though. It tastes better, or at least more mainstream taste profile, and a bigger brand name, as well as less sugar and calories. Like PediaAid is to PediaLyte, it's simply a better mouse trap. Doesn't mean it'll be easy or happen overnight but in the interim it should carve itself out a slice of this market segment.
