Nifty sites for CoolTech to use to determine best states for UPT outlets in terms of disasters and power reliability (UPT could benefit from more disasters and less reliability). Florida doesn't really look like the greatest choice.
Texas, California, and New York look like great candidates with their disaster declarations blowing up since 2000. Pretty much all states show a striking rise in disasters since the 2000s.

Another consideration for UPT locations is stability of the power grid.

Florida also doesn't look great from a power reliability stand point. It was one of 12 states that had zero hours of power outages in 2015. Texas on the other hand was in last place (50th) with 356 hours of outages in 2015, Ca is 39th and New York is 30th

HPEV mentioned Colorado (but didn't mention what was going on there), but it doesn't look like a good choice as they don't have many disasters and their grid is reliable.
