Little known fact. Elk Creek Neb. May be sitting on the worlds largest untapped deposit of Rare Earth" minerals, full of "heavy and light" minerals!
The company is well aware of this; but after studying the costs and time-frames - decided to go with Niobium. Which turned into Nb, Sc, and Ti.
But that doesn't diminish the fact that there is an enormous world class orebody of REE worth $billions!! just waiting to be mined when the timing is right, and money.
Talk about a Supermarket of special metals! 'one stop shop' business model...
the area involved is aprox. 4 square miles of nice flat farmland. What a unique situation. IMO

PS. from my understanding, Elk Creek is loaded with 'Heavy rare earths' and Molycorp is loaded with Light rare earths'.
