It was humor but I know what you're saying. Many years ago I recall an incident a man went into a convenience store pulled a gun on the cashier took the money and instructed the cashier to call the police. He then put down the unloaded gun and waited to be arrested. Never did get the rest of the story but I just imagined he was looking for a nice warm secure home.
