2 million pounds is better than nothing but for gene therapy research I would hope that the government would think more in terms of hundreds of millions of pounds.

2 million pounds will be a good start. I liked hearing the Oxford BioMedica will lead the consortium.

Like you said this should help maximize quality, quantity and cost efficiency for production of the lentivectors for Novartis.
