Fidelity removed the 30 day min hold period (without 1% penalty) from the Select funds in my 401k plan.

They did this earlier this year, and did not announce it (sneaky devils). I stumbled onto this last weekend. I called Fidelity this morning and got it confirmed. Although I was also told I can't do this more then twice in a 6 month period or I will receive a nag email from them.

Less restrictions will make it easier for me to surf the sectors.

I am still holding FIDSX (financial), but my surfer strategy is suggesting a switch to FSPHX (healthcare).

This is where the 1 month resolution in surfer falls short for me. Both the 5 day period, and the I month period, in the SPDR's sector tracker shows Financial still the stronger of the two.
