Cara Therapeutics is often referred to as a marijuana stock. However, using that term is a bit of a stretch.

Keith Speights writing in the Motley Fool about another stock provides a half-literate dictum that the uninitiated should pay attention to.

"Marijuana" is a junk term that no one can define.

One might think The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence written on contraband paper derived from cannabis generally having little or no THC - the joy juice potheads seek - would provide eloquent testimony to the insanity of our drug laws and the perversity of America's current Attorney General as well as the last appointed by President Obama. Both are and were hell on wheels in regard to enforcement of marijuana laws.

The tale of the huge swings in the market price of Speights' "marijuana stock" without regard to apparent earnings [distant, if any ever] is quite instructive.

As all should know by now, INSY is on the precipice of reporting sales of its own approved cannabinoids.

Some "marijuana stock!" smile

Best, Terry
