If you have been reading the news, it would appear that the emphasis of this administration is on shutting down various dark web sales sites for opioids such as AlphaBay, Hansa Market, and Silk Road. The approach seems to be to force people to go to legitimate suppliers if they have scrips and also raise the cost for the illegal stuff.
This is a nice market-based approach in keeping with the philosophy of those in power and also does not put a dent into the profits of big pharms.
My point, if you have not gotten it yet, is that there is no effort to wean patients off of opioids as long as they can pay for legal or illegal versions. Thus, like it or not, there is no effort to turn to your favorite alternative and, as even you must now concede, no effort by your favorite CEO to attract attention or get the government or others to steer sufferers toward Calmare.
