We are having our hottest week of the summer so far, here in south west Missouri. Suppose to get some relief next week.

I don't think your guru is to far off, I expect we should be getting a start to a meaningful correction before the end of the month. I now have 9 out of 20 P1's (down phases) overdue. 3 of them are 60 min P1's, 2 are Daily P1's, 3 of them are Weekly P1's, & 1 is a Monthly P1. With the Weekly having 3 of 4 P1's overdue, suspect we get a Weekly correction in the near future.
