The FAANG stocks are part of what Patrick Walker calls the MaxList stocks. MaxList stocks are those that any person, who trades professional and has to publish his holding, will have to own or risk the ire of his investors. Therefore the MaxList stocks will usually do very well until they fall out of favor with the investment crowd. They certainly supported NASDAQ well this week.
