here is another interesting thought, when PFE went in for AGN everyone knew it was a tax move. But the AGN CEO would have been groomed to be PFE CEO.

PFE is now heavily into oncology and Cafario was a recent add as CEO and a more recent add as Chairman of BMY and is a medical doctor. I can't see anyone wanting to be bought out and jettisoned who has just reached that pinnacle of success unless the same type of arrangement is worked out as was with AGN. Although I guess walking away today with a bootful of money might be an incentive.

That is why I am both dubious and hopeful that a buyout happens. BMY had 2 out of the last 3 Q's significantly beat earnings targets. If that happens again at the end of the month there could be a bounce and as long as buyout rumors are out there the downside short term seems minimal.
