BTW, you should ponder how someone made billions from slow growing blue chip stocks such as Wells Fargo Bank, Sees Candy, Burlington Northern Railroad and a dozen conservative insurance firms, most famously GEICO. Bufffett's main secret is his use of virtually free leverage available from his huge insurance investments.

Buffett is universally considered the greatest investor in history and his holdings are all blue chips. And the majority are listed stocks available to anyone. He certainly doesn't buy penny stocks or search for the next "hot tech play."

Should add that Buffett would recommend a low cost index fund over Franklin and American funds, although those are generally fairly good.

One MORE thing: Forget Youtube videos (most are just advertising) and grab a copy of The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham. Any free library will have it.
