As the article suggests, I suspect Amazon patented the way to block in-store price comparison using the stores's wifi . . .

. . . in order to prevent other retailers from blocking Amazon's in-store price comparison scanner app.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
