Maybe you should read it again, it states months and years and yes you can easily default on a mortgage for years. Avoiding foreclosure can be done by making payments and or even claiming a legal issue in court to avoid the inevitable. Just look at this companies own case with Citizens Business Bank, been going on for over 3 years now and two separate cases, still cant pay their principle and interest owed on that loan.
