Hmmm. The new CEO of Ford is the former CEO of Steelcase furniture who joined Ford's board in 2013 and impressed the Board with his "outside the box thinking".

Jim Hackett has worked at Ford for one year heading their self-driving vehicle and ride-sharing subsidiary.

In a 2008 interview with an industry trade group he said, "It’s a perversity that when you see something changing you think it’s just a flash or a temporary moment. The system that’s most dominant believes its virtues will keep it from ever being overtaken."

Maybe the Ford Board thinks he could be their own version of Elon Musk?
