Intel segments its product line for maximum profit and that allows AMD opportunities to give shit away. And it will have more PCIE lanes in a cheap single socket server. But it remains to be seen how many enterprise wins they will get. And AMD is going in as a value player with a shabby brand. But those 2 socket systems you want to replace with AMD 1 socket wonders are already an industry standard. AMD chips are as yet unreleased and unproven. And it remains to be seen if AMD's strategy is successful. Before declaring victory in your "war against tyranny", you might want to wait for the war to actually start :) And for some SPECRATE benchmarks vs. the updcoming Skylake server refresh. Right now all we have is AMD cooked benchmarks vs. Broadwell.
