"How come scams go to the greys but never terminated by the sec ? Hmmmmm you really have to think about that one!!!"

When the SEC halts a ticker, all trading on it ceases. After the third day of no market makers or exchanges reporting a price for the ticker, it goes to the gray market.

After roughly years of the ticker's company not filing any quarterly or annual reports, the SEC may completely deregister the ticker, and then it is gone.
