April 30-This morning there is wind. The rain forecast for Monday is up to 90%. Lower highs, lower overnight lows. But not out of the historical norm. I feel better compared to Saturday when heat index probably reached 90F. That slowed me down. But I did make progress. I put in the remaining tomato plants. Danny, the project manager, wanted so cucumber and pepper plants, and another potted palm tree, so we rode to Home Depot on Wendover. He bought me an 8lb bag of organic fertilizer. I went through the most recent bag in three days. I put in the pepper plants -- Anaheim and Jalapeno -- in the bed where Ali's section sits next to his parking spot. I added two more from the greenhouse so that portion of six pepper plants is done. Next comes the Genovese and purple basil plants. A trip to Food Lion took up more time. I dug a trench for more Red Cored Chantenay carrot seed but was too tired to place seed. A soaker hose would do the job of keeping them consistently moist. So I water twice a day and hope for the best. I pulled up soil for another melon hill but didn't plant any seed. Putting in the cucumber plants and setting up fencing took up more time. I did plant six more zucchini seeds in a hill I prepared. No. 3. The first hill of six plants are already producing true leaves. Zooks grow fast. I will cull to the best looking three.

It wont get as hot today. More clouds are forecast. Maybe I will get a lot done.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
