Pace has been eying Trubs since the season ended. In hindsight, the Glennon signing was a smokescreen, three years, but only one year guaranteed. Pace knew Trubs would need a little time to be mentored. All was going well until last weekend when other teams started showing their cards and were ready to trade up with San Fran to grab him. Notice, there were no rumors about teams wanting to trade up for Watson or Mahomes there, they were all about Trubs.

Now, I can only hope Pace can take advantage of what should be a frenzied run on the remaining QB's in the top 2 tiers tomorrow. Teams that did not get one tonight should be falling all over themselves to move up in round 2. Pace may be able to recoup his traded picks in one fell swoop, which would take that sting away.

Still, I wanted Adams badly, but Pace came with the pedigree of a great talent evaluator, especially on the O side and he hitched his future to Trubs. Have to believe in my GM.
