I get what you are saying, but also get the history of trading upper tier closers to contenders. It usually brings in a huge haul. Probably not Chapman haul, but Kimbrel, Paps...? Someone will pay and pay a decent price if Robertson keeps showing that he is back to full health. Last year was a bit of a blip due to nagging injuries, primarily his knees which needed some cleaning out. Had it not been for that, he would have been snagged for big prospects in the offseason.
Of course I want Robertson shipped out sooner rather than later, as it would give Nate Jones time to prove he can be a top closer too prior to the deadline, as he is currently a top setup man. That being said, it might be for the best if Robertson does not go until the deadline and Jones can then prove himself in the 2nd half, so we can trade him in the offseason. He is on team friendly terms again next year, so would be sought after if he proves himself.
