3 Punks Trash Store Over Price…Run Over Owner With Their Van

A sad fact of the current state of our society is that far too many people hold an entitled mentality that allows them to believe that they are due whatever they desire, and woe unto those who would tell them otherwise.

It would seem that such a mentality was a contributing factor to a recent confrontation at a Michigan store over the price of an item that ended outside with a brutal assault by a vehicle that could be viewed by some as attempted murder, according to the Independent Journal Review.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when three women began arguing with a store manager at a drive-thru window, only to park the vehicle and continue the argument inside. When the women didn’t get their way, they trashed the store on the way out, prompting the manager to give chase, only to be run over by their vehicle in the parking lot and sustain significant injuries.

WXMI reported that the entire incident at the T&J Party Store in Kentwood was caught on surveillance video. A store employee identified only as “Jose” gave a brief rundown of what happened.

“They were arguing about the price,” said Jose. “(The owner) just got tired of dealing with it, so she closed the window.”

But that only made the female punks mad and prompted them to come inside the store to demand an apology, which they didn’t receive, leading them to trash the store by knocking over several shelves of goods on their way out the door.

“One of the two girls who came in after said ‘Well, we’ll give her something to get mad about,’ and they started pulling down the shelves of the snacks,” Jose explained. “The chips, they pulled the shelves and that’s when (the owner) started chasing them because they started running.”

But when the store owner reached the women’s vehicle, they suddenly shifted it into reverse and knocked her to the ground, running over her.

“I found her on the ground, she was laying there,” recalled Jose. “If it would’ve been a few inches further they would’ve run over her stomach, so it was lucky that it wasn’t and it was just the legs, otherwise it would’ve been worse.”

Michigan Live reported that the woman, identified as Christine Yoon, suffered a broken pelvis and ribs, broken teeth and bleeding on the brain, among other injuries.

“She was on the side of the vehicle, trying to confront them,” said Ken Rypma, a family friend. “The driver put it in reverse and turned the steering wheel. The vehicle ran right over her.”

“She’s definitely going to be in the hospital for a while,” he added. “It’s terrible.”

It is indeed a terrible incident and indictment of our society that these three punks felt they could trash a store and nearly kill a woman simply because they didn’t receive what they felt they were entitled to. Hopefully, they are ultimately identified, arrested and charged to the fullest extent of the law for their horrifyingly despicable actions.
