Graffiti Junktion Winter Springs is out of business
u/35mmDSLR
Without telling a single employee or giving warning after a huge bike night event last night, they shut down the Winter Springs location indefinitely today.

Hopefully they accommodate the employees into other locations.

That place had terrible food (more terrible than the rest of GJ)

I am surprised though, I used to trivia every week there and it was always packed.

As someone who has worked in a few places that host trivia night, that's not always a signifier of business. Not to be insulting to certain groups. Trivia nerds have a tendency to drink one or two drinks over the course of a couple hours, suck down waters, and share one appetizer a team. Not exactly big spenders.

If you're an outlier in my rudimentary study of trivia-goers, I apologize.

Those things seem to be going tits up pretty easily. They had (have?) a good location in Thornton Park and then they started popping up everywhere. I don't frequent them enough to know their trends but some of the locations make me scratch my head. Is there really a demand for one of those in Lake Nona ??

Blows my mind. I've been to a few of them begrudgingly, their food sucks and their service is worse.

One time we were there and JJ Redick was with friends. Some girls invited us to sit with them (they have picnic table seating for those who have never been) and they kept buying buckets and food. They bought JJ's table a bucket of PBR and thanked him for the season. They offered us some food/beer but we declined as we weren't sure what the plan was. At one point, they said they were going to the bathroom and left. Server comes by and throws the check down and we realize...those fucking chicks are not coming back and left us with the bill. My friend begrudgingly paid since after we explained the situation they said "well, too bad" and since he lived across the street at the time he didn't want to be blacklisted for walking out on a bill himself (we split it, it was like 80 bucks total plus tip.) We inadvertently paid for JJ Redick's shitty beer.

Pretty much how my visits there went.

I go to the Thornton Park one pretty frequently and like it. There was one over by UCF on Alafaya that closed down, and now the closing of this Winter Park location has me worried. I like my unlimited mimosas on Sundays

I think that one is safe...well, at least attendance/performance wise but they probably thought that success would easily be duplicated everywhere and the reality is that its just a GREAT location. I don't even know if the Graffiti on Church Street does all that well to be honest.

It's almost like people don't want shitty overpriced burgers.

Damn. I just tried to stop in there this afternoon. Googled them and this was the first relevant result. At least Reddit knows what happened. Reddit FTW!
