The Herald Tribune article is 2 1/2 yrs old. Mullan clearly said the amyloid hypothesis is a bust. If Nilvadipine works, why is he saying 25 yrs of research down the drain? Basically a total waste.
If they are going to release the research on Nilvadipine some time this year, they should have most of the data and by now and know pretty much what the results are going to be. If it showed any efficacy at all, wouldn't they by now have said something? It's already on the market and known to be safe. With Alzheimer's times a wasting. I would be more than happy to be proved wrong, but it appears to have been a bust.
