gfp: I supported Trump once he won the nomination. But I'm profoundly disappointed how quickly he went over to the dark side. And every Trump voter I keep in contact with is equally disappointed. We feel we got the bait and switch. At a time when the country is on the verge of a financial collapse we should be looking for ways to massively cut Federal spending. And that includes the Pentagon. Our military needs to be pulled back and redirected. It should be used for defensive purposes only. We need to strengthen the defenses around our aging electric grid and securing the internet. And we need to develop a comprehensive plan in case of an EMP attack. A foreign power need only take out our electric grid and Americans would start killing each other within a week over food. We don't need to be attacking Syria, threatening North Korea etc.

As for the markets the ^RUT dropped under 1350 by the close on Thursday. The XLF dropped under $23. I have 30 PUT contracts with a $22 strike price. I'm hoping for flat to slightly green Monday session so the "fear" level drops a little. Then I plan to add some XLF Puts at $21 and some more of the $20s. I sense the market wants to break. And Yellen might want to put a scare into Trump to get him to back off on hints of auditing the Fed. Considering the geo-political risks out there I wasn't too pleased by the performance of GDX and GDXJ. They had a bad week when common sense would have dictated that they would be rising. How much of that is manipulation I can't determine. It just is.
